Rekha Gupta Becomes Delhi’s New Chief Minister
BJP leader and Shalimar Bagh MLA Rekha Gupta is now the Chief Minister of Delhi. After a legislature meeting on Wednesday, the party officially confirmed her appointment. Meanwhile, New Delhi MLA Parvesh Verma will serve as the Deputy CM, and Rohini MLA Vijender Gupta will take charge as the Speaker of the Delhi Assembly.
BJP Wins Delhi After 27 Years
After 27 years, the BJP has finally returned to power in Delhi by winning 44 out of 70 seats in the Assembly elections. As a result, the party has secured a clear majority to form the government. The election results, which were announced on February 8, marked a significant political shift in the capital.
Swearing-in Ceremony at Ramlila Maidan
The swearing-in ceremony will take place on February 20 at Ramlila Maidan. Notably, the event will highlight themes from the recent Ayodhya Ram Mandir consecration. Furthermore, around 25,000 to 30,000 people, including Hindu seers and local community members, are expected to attend. In addition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, along with other top BJP and NDA leaders, will also be present at the event.
