Alia Bhatt made her debut on the carpet with a pearl-embellished gown by designer Prabal Gurung.

The inspiration behind the gown was to resemble its iconic Chanel Brides. In particular, the look resembled that of Supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel Bridal Look.
About the look she had to say, “I wanted to do something that felt authentic and proudly made in India. The embroidery, made with 1,00,000 pearls, is a labor of love by Prabal Gurung. I’m so proud to wear you for my first Met,” she added.
Talking about her love for pearls and the little details that completed her look, Alia said, “A girl can never have too many pearls and the right accessories to complement the look which in our case translated to the bow of pearls on my hair.”
