Amir Hussain Lone, a para-cricketer from Jammu & Kashmir, lost both arms at the age of eight in an accident. Despite this, he pursued his passion for cricket with unmatched determination. Using a unique style, he bowls with his legs and bats with his shoulder and neck. Introduced to para-cricket by his teacher, Amir began playing professionally in 2013, competing in tournaments across Afghanistan, Nepal, and the UAE.

Life wasn’t easy, and financial struggles often held him back. Earlier this year, Gautam Adani praised Amir’s spirit on X and offered support through the Adani Foundation. They provided ₹70 lakhs to help him build an indoor cricket academy in his village, Waghama, Anantnag. This academy is now a platform for Amir to mentor young cricketers and nurture new talent.

Amir’s journey is a story of resilience and hope. From mastering swimming as a child to becoming an internationally recognized para-cricketer, he has proved that hard work and support can turn dreams into reality.
