The Women’s India Premier League is all set to return in 2023 with a bang.

The Women’s India Premier League or WIPL is a professional Twenty20 cricket league for women in India. It was launched in 2019 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) with four teams.  The 2023 season of the WIPL will see the participation of eight teams from different parts of the country. The teams will be divided into two groups, and they will play against each other in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, and the winners will face off in the grand finale.

Increased funding for women’s premier league

The BCCI has also announced that it will increase the salary cap for the players, and it is expected to attract some of the top players from around the world. The league will provide a platform for Indian women cricketers to showcase their talent and rub shoulders with the best in the world.

A better and brighter future promised by BCCI

The WIPL 2023 is expected to kick off in October, and the matches will be held in different cities across India. The fans of women’s cricket in India are eagerly waiting for the WIPL 2023 to begin, and they are expecting high-quality cricketing action from the league. The BCCI has promised to make the league bigger and better than before, and we cannot wait to witness the excitement and drama unfold on the field.
