Sriharikota: India’s Space Hub

All ISRO launches take place from Sriharikota, about 135 km from Chennai. The first launch pad has been in use since 1993, and a second one was added in 2005 to handle more missions.

What’s Next?

ISRO has big plans ahead. It took 46 years to complete the first 100 launches, but now, with private companies and new technology, the next 100 missions will happen in just five years. India is quickly becoming a leading country in space exploration.
