After a heartbreaking Wednesday with the news of the sudden demise of Irrfan Khan, Thursday also began on a sad note. Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor passed away on Thursday morning in Mumbai at 8:45 AM after two years of long battle with Leukemia. The actor was admitted to Shri. HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai last night after he reportedly complained of not feeling well.
The actor who had charmed his way into millions of hearts with his amazing debut in 1973’s “Bobby”, had been ailing for a while. After being diagnosed with Cancer in 2018, he underwent treatment in New York for almost a year. In September 2019, he returned to India but was rarely seen in public since. Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to mourn the death of his Co-star in multiple films. He wrote, “Rishi Kapoor… gone… passed away. I’m destroyed.” Several other Cinematic personalities also paid tribute to the legendary actor.
All the Film fraternity, members of the Political along with the fans are mourning the passing of both the important figures of the Bollywood by posting Condolences on Social Media. Well this can be surely a terrible week for Indian Cinema, with the passing of both the legendary actors. A wonderful actors, with a huge fan following across generations, they will be greatly missed.
