The world is populated with light — and shadows . some locations where never in the memories are there remembrance of screams, prayers, or deaths. Here are some of the actual haunted locations that even the strongest do not dare remain in after dark.
Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan (India)

India’s spookiest place, Bhangarh Fort is forever silenced after dark. There was a black magician who fell for Princess Ratnavati. She spurned his affections, so he cursed the whole town to be ravaged. Locals say they can still hear screams and laughter and even catch a whiff of perfume at midnight — but no one lingers around after dark. Even the Archaeological Survey of India does not permit entry after sunset.
Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad (India)

Lights dropping, mirrors shattering, crewmen shoved around by unseen hands — all regular tales here. The film city was constructed upon a war field, and it’s said the ghosts of slaughtered soldiers never departed. Dozens of film productions have been delayed due to bizarre accidents and ghostly whispers on the sets.
Dow Hill, Kurseong (West Bengal)

This hill station is serene during the day but becomes deadly at night. Local school children have seen a headless boy walking down the forest road. Locals feel his footsteps continue even though he disappears. Even the school passageways are known to resound with a ghostly laugh when there is no one to see or hear it.
The Shaniwarwada Fort, Pune

This fort, built in the 18th century, was the place of betrayal and murder. Every full moon night, people claim to hear the ghostly cries of a young prince screaming, “Kaka mala vachva!” (Uncle, save me!) The echoes still rise through the broken walls — as if time itself is repeating the horror.
The Tower of London (England)

Thousands were executed here, including Anne Boleyn, the wife of King Henry VIII. Tourists claim they see her ghost walking the corridors with her decapitated head clutched in her arms.
Guards even stop patrolling sections of it after dark.
Aokigahara Forest, Japan

It’s the Suicide Forest and one of the scariest and sap-siest places on the planet. Compasses don’t function here, and tourists report hearing soft murmurs calling them further into the forest — but nobody ever discovers who is speaking.
The Monte Cristo Homestead, Australia

Ranked as Australia’s most haunted house, the mansion experienced multiple deaths.
Visitors overnight report lights being turned on by themselves, cold hands running over them, and a white-clad woman looking from the balcony.
